Henry Swieca is the co-founder of Highbridge Capital Management and the founder of Taipon Fund Management.

Swieca grew up in Washington Heights, New York. His parents died when he was in his late teens and the parents of childhood friend Glenn Dubin became his surrogate parents. [2]
He obtained a bachelor of arts from Stony Brook University and a master of business administration from Columbia Business School.[3]
After graduation, Swieca worked at Merrill Lynch, becoming on of the first traders on the New York Futures Exchange. He later joined Dillon Read as an institutional investor advisor. Then, in 1984, Swieca joined E.F. Hutton where be became a senior vice president specializing in risk management and asset allocation. That same year, he started Dubing & Swieca with Glenn Dubin.[4][5]
In 1992, Swieca started Highbridge Captial Management with Glenn Dubin. They sold a 55% stake to JP Morgan Chase in 1994 and substantially all remaining shares in 2009.[6][7]
Swieca is married and has four children.[8]
